Bioengineering at Wichita State



Located in the center of Kansas' largest city, the bioengineering department at Wichita State University offers students the chance to experience a wide variety of subjects and develop a wide range of skills while working towards a degree from an accredited college. 



A collaborative effort between the Colleges of Engineering, Health Professions, Education, and Liberal Arts and Sciences. Bioengineering is a unique combination of engineering, ergonomics, anatomy and physiology, biology, chemistry, and communication.

Our Chapter

​The Wichita State Chapter of the Biomedical Engineering Society is comprised of undergraduate and graduate students primarily from the College of Engineering.

​

Any student of any major, engineering or otherwise, is welcome to join and participate in our chapter. Benefits include attending monthly meetings, volunteer activities, social events with other student members, and meeting faculty members.



For a low annual fee, students can also join the national chapter of the Biomedical Engineering Society. Student members of the chapter are encouraged to join the national chapter to enjoy more benefits including membership to scholarly journals, news from the always growing field of biomedical engineering, and more.

All are welcome to our second meeting of the Fall 2012 semester will take place at 7:05 p.m. on November 13th, 2012, in the Engineering Building Room 122. There is also a second meeting November 14th, 2012, in the same location. The same information will be covered in each meeting, so it is not necessary to attend both. Some topics of discussion include the BMES 2012 Annual Meeting highlights, benefits of joining BMES National, and upcoming events. We hope to see you there!
